|
Scuba Diving is an exciting water sports activity, which is practised by diving enthusiasts at beaches
around the world. India with its long coastline and beautiful beaches, has exciting scuba diving destinations.
The Lakshadweep islands, located in the Arabian Sea off the coast of Kerala, India, are a travel destination where
scuba diving is avidly followed by a large number of domestic, and international tourists, as well as the local people.
Scuba Diving is practised in Bangaram, a teardrop shaped island, which is exceedingly romantic, in Lakshadweep, India.
Bangaram is covered with creamy sand and the beach is ringed with evergreen coconut palms which adds beauty to the scuba
diving site. India's only licensed Diving School is located here. |

Trainee divers can learn from the diving instructors
and be certified as Scuba Divers, after a course at the Diving School at Bangaram in Lakshadweep India. There is another
Scuba diving center at the island of Kadmat.
SCUBA is actually an acronym, which stands for Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus. Invented by the marine explorer Jacques Cousteau and Emile Gagnan, and called the aqualung, it consisted of a set of cylinders carried on the diver's back. The pressure regulators on the tanks allow a mixture of gases to enter the diver's mouth or nose through a breathing apparatus. This compact diving equipment makes it possible for individual divers to dive to great depths and explore the wonders of the ocean floor.
